LAP1 sells high-value Formula 1 cards on behalf of collectors through our store, live breaks, and marketplace channels. These terms summarize how consignment works. The specific commission and any special terms for your cards are confirmed with you in writing before anything is listed or sold.
How it works
- Free review. Send us details and photos of what you'd like to consign. We respond with our assessment, recommended pricing based on recent comps, and the commission within 24 hours.
- Insured intake. Once we agree on terms, you ship the cards to the address we provide. We recommend insured, tracked, signature shipping; cards are insured while in our possession.
- Listing & sale. We photograph, list, and market your cards across the channels best suited to them, drawing on our F1-specific buyer audience.
- Payout. After a card sells and the buyer's payment has cleared and any return window has passed, we pay you your share — sale price minus the agreed commission — by your chosen payout method.
Commission
Our commission is competitive and depends on the value and salability of the cards. The exact rate is disclosed to you in writing and approved by you before any card is listed. You will never owe a commission on a sale you didn't agree to.
Pricing & approvals
We price using current market comps and our read of F1 demand. Depending on the terms we agree, we may sell within a price range you approve, or check with you on offers. Nothing is sold below an agreed floor without your okay.
Grading submission
If your cards are raw and would benefit from grading, we can submit them on your behalf to PSA, CGC, SGC, or BGS. Grading fees and turnaround are set by the grading company and are passed through or shared per the terms we agree before submission. Grading outcomes are the grader's opinion and are not guaranteed by LAP1.
Insurance & care
Consigned cards are insured against loss or damage while in LAP1's possession, up to their agreed value. They are stored securely and handled in their holders. For major purchases, we arrange tracked, insured — and where appropriate, hand — delivery to the buyer.
Unsold cards
If you decide to withdraw a card before it sells, or it doesn't sell within the agreed consignment period, we return it to you via insured, tracked shipping. Return shipping terms are covered in your consignment confirmation.
